Boiling it all down… Online marketing, Social networking, and Client attraction
I have just read several blogs that deal with all these topics. Some were suggestions, some were rants, and others were just ideas to help others.
I am a huge believer in networking! I have written articles, given teleclasses and presented live seminars. And now I am benefitting from the social networking arena (mostly Facebook, Twitter, and Ning), where they can all come together. So here is my take:
Successful online networking is not much different than in-person networking: Building your personal and business brand into a cohesive message and attractive experience.
The keys to great networking are to develop relationships by connecting, finding common ground, being service oriented, providing great value (resources, content, ideas or connections) so people can get to know you and at the same time enhance themselves/their business, and all the while expecting nothing in return.

You got it right. It is all about relationships, I love the internet but I am focusing and counseling people that it is face to face that is critical. We as humans love the personal touch,

Great to see social networking is making impressions into the corporate world.
My experience to date is that social networking is an underutilised and unappreciated communication channel. Most corporations would still be viewing facebook etc. as impediments to productivity.
From a relatioship driven sales force I would argue social networking sites should be a business mandatory communication channel. Social networking sites are the only communication channel that spontaneously increase communications and relationships and cost zero dollars.
